Join our team as Head of Sales Development & Commercial Excellence in the Machine Control Division!
At Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, our Machine Control Division delivers integrated construction solutions that enhance productivity, improve safety, and enable smarter, more connected job sites. From machine control to digital workflows and safety awareness technologies, we empower contractors and partners to build more efficiently and sustainably.
We are now seeking a Head of Sales Development & Commercial Excellence. The role is established to translate Machine Control growth strategy into scalable commercial frameworks, with a strong focus on maximizing end-to-end customer value across commercial, service, and support interactions. Ensures customers realize full lifecycle value from sales through deployment and support.
This role is a global role based in Europe, with a preference for candidates located near our core offices in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden or Denmark to enable effective collaboration.
Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will shape and elevate global go-to-market strategies by defining direction and coaching regional leaders to execute with impact. You will drive lifecycle customer value realization, ensuring that every stage of the customer journey delivers measurable outcomes and strengthens long‑term relationships. Working cross‑functionally, you will integrate commercial, service, and support processes to create a seamless and efficient operating model. You will also lead value governance initiatives, with a strong focus on margin expansion and sustainable business growth.
In this role, you will drive performance management across commercial, service, and support functions, establishing clear accountability and ensuring consistent delivery of business outcomes. You will play a key role in building global sales capabilities, embedding value selling approaches that strengthen customer engagement and competitive differentiation. By capturing and translating customer insights into actionable strategies, you will influence business direction and ensure alignment with evolving market needs and opportunities.
As a member of the Machine Control Division Leadership Team, reporting to the Division President, you are contributing to overall division strategy execution, governance, and performance. You will be driving alignment across Commercial, Marketing, Service and Support leadership to deliver integrated customer outcomes.
Travel is required (up to 30‑40%) to meet with Leadership team in Odense, customers, partners, and attend industry events.

Profile & Experience
- 10+ years in commercial leadership
- Background in construction tech / heavy equipment / digital solutions
- Proven scaling global sales models
- Strong analytics and pricing skills
- Experience in matrix organizations
- English proficient, other European language is a plus
