AOTO

AOTO is a Swedish fintech company building a digital operating system for car dealers, combining inventory financing, end consumer financing packaged together with warranties and insurance, automated bookkeeping and digital services in one platform. The goal is simple: help car dealers make faster, smarter decisions and maximise their buy and sell potential.

We’re in an exciting early stage, building the product from scratch with clear ambitions to expand across Europe. This role is central to getting us there.

About the role

As Chief Commercial Officer, you own AOTO’s growth. You’re the driving force behind everything commercial – sales, revenue, market expansion and the team that delivers it. Sitting on the management team alongside CEO, your job is to turn a product into a category leader across Europe.

This is a build-and-scale mandate. You’ll set the commercial strategy and then make it happen on the ground: landing our first wave of car dealers, proving the model, and turning it into a repeatable growth machine. As we move into new markets, you’re the one designing the playbook and recruiting the people to run it. What you’ll own:

  • Commercial strategy – set the direction for growth, pricing and go-to-market across all our revenue streams
  • Sales & revenue – build the pipeline, close the early deals yourself, then hire and lead the sales organisation that scales it
  • The team – recruit, structure and lead a high-performing commercial team from the very first hire
  • European expansion – plan and execute our entry into new markets, adapting the playbook to each
  • Partnerships – build the channels and relationships that accelerate growth

About you

You’ve done this before – taken something early and unproven and grown it into something big, in a B2B context. You’re deeply commercial, comfortable owning a number, and you treat growth as a system to be engineered. Experience from fintech, financing or automotive is a plus, but what matters more is your drive and trajectory. You bring:

  • A track record of building and scaling commercial and sales functions in a high-growth B2B setting
  • Experience growing a business internationally, ideally across European markets
  • A hands-on builder’s mentality – as happy closing a deal as setting the strategy
  • The ability to attract, build and lead a high-performing commercial team
  • Fluency in Swedish and English; other European languages are a plus
