As Manager Fiber Optics Engineering, you will lead a team responsible for delivering high‑quality engineering solutions, developing competence and ensuring structured ways of working across Karlskrona, Chennai and Cologne.

Strengthen global fiber optics engineering performance
In this role, you will manage the work within the Fiber Optics Engineering team, ensuring clear goals, priorities and structured delivery. You secure resources, promote competence development and maintain high standards in engineering processes and documentation. You will collaborate closely with international engineering teams to support efficient resource utilization, shared ways of working and alignment across locations.
Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and distribute work within the Fiber Optics Engineering team
  • Set and follow up goals aligned with Accessories Engineering
  • Perform appraisals, mid-year reviews and continuous employee follow-up
  • Own and develop the Fiber Optics engineering process and documentation
  • Support delivery across tenders, projects and product‑related engineering activities

You will report to the Accessories Engineering Manager and collaborate across Karlskrona, Chennai and Cologne. The position is based in Karlskrona and involves occasional travel, around 10–15 days per year.

Required Skills

  • Degree in engineering (electrical, electronic, mechanical or similar)
  • Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in an international environment
  • Experience with resource planning and competence development
  • Solid understanding of engineering processes and documentation
  • Good communication skills in English and Swedish
